We are currently looking to strengthen our teams with working students in the following focus areas:
General Software Development – Help advance, test, and maintain core components of our proteomics software.
Infrastructure / DevOps / Cloud-Ops – Support the deployment and scaling of cloud-based systems used in high-throughput data analysis.
Machine Learning for Proteomics – Apply and extend ML models to extract insights from complex biological mass spectrometry data.

As a working student at MSAID, you will:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our AI-driven proteomics platform.
Develop and maintain scalable software solutions, contributing to tools like CHIMERYS and INFERYS.
Implement and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring robust and efficient data processing pipelines.
Engage in code reviews, testing, and documentation, adhering to best practices in software development.
Your profile
We are seeking students who:
Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related fields.
Have proficiency in programming languages related to the position (see above)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Exhibit a strong interest in proteomics and life sciences, with a desire to apply computational skills to biological data.
Are available to work 16–20 hours per week

About us
MSAID transforms the way scientists analyze proteomics data. MSAID is a bioinformatics spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, Germany and is located at the high-tech-center gate, which is part of the TUM campus in Garching. In addition, MSAID has a branch in Berlin. The company was founded by an interdisciplinary team of scientists with the vision to provide better computational solutions to the field of proteomics. The team has an exceptionally strong track record and long-standing expertise in the acquisition, analysis, and interpretation of proteomic data. Our ambition is to replace current algorithms for proteomics with powerful, AI-based solutions, thereby paving the way for a smarter, deeper, and more reliable way of interrogating proteomic data.
