Job Description: Nursing Assistant (Pflegehelfer/in)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant (Pflegehelfer/in) to support patients and nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on experience, strong communication skills in German (B2 level), and a patient-centered approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility

• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and general condition

• Support registered nurses in medical and nursing procedures

• Ensure proper hygiene, cleanliness, and infection control standards

• Assist with patient transfers and positioning

• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

• Accurately maintain patient records and report changes to nursing staff

• Follow German healthcare regulations and facility policies

Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed training or certification as a Nursing Assistant / Healthcare Assistant

• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing assistant experience

• German language proficiency at B2 level (certificate preferred)

• Eligibility or willingness to obtain recognition (Anerkennung) in Germany

• Good physical stamina and emotional resilience

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused attitude

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hospitals, nursing homes, or elderly care facilities

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology in German

• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
