As a backend engineer at shyftplan, you will be part of a highly motivated international team with a strong ambition for solving our customers' problems. You will be extending, maintaining, and improving our core business logic and making it available through our API at scale. You will closely collaborate with product team within the Scrum framework to deliver a high-quality user experience:

  • Extend, maintain, and enhance our core business logic, ensuring seamless integration with our API at scale.
  • Collaborate with the product team within the Scrum framework to deliver a superior user experience.
  • Innovate by creating new features and improving existing functionalities in our web and mobile applications.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technologies throughout the application development process
  • Contribute decisively to architectural decisions, with a primary focus on scalability to ensure robust and sustainable solutions.
Your profile
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Strong SQL skills (MySQL, PostgreSQL, PSQL, Oracle, MSSQL)
  • 3+ years of experience in application development
  • Knowledge of continuous deployment and integration practices
  • Experience in identifying and resolving potential performance bottlenecks
  • Good understanding of modern API design practices and standards
  • Proficient in writing automated tests
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
