Software Developer – R&D, Java, SQL – Remote / Heidelberg – €80,000

Turn complex business plans into elegant, working software. This company has spent the last 30 years building ERP systems used by over 35,000 end users across the retail, wholesale, and distribution sectors.

You'll be joining a smart, close-knit development team working in a research and development environment — ideal for someone who enjoys solving challenging, real-world problems with clean code and clever thinking.

What's the role?

  • Analyse, design, and develop new features and applications
  • Work directly with customers to optimise and evolve their technical processes
  • Maintain and enhance internal tools and interfaces
  • Continuously review code and workflows to identify improvements
  • Write solid documentation and contribute to testing efforts

What's needed:

  • A few years of professional experience in software development
  • Strong Java skills and solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL)
  • Strong English and German language skills
