Its work spans the full system lifecycle, from early concept definition through qualification, production, and long-term operational support, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence, reliability, and compliance with demanding regulatory and security frameworks.

Mission

The mission of this role is to contribute to the design, integration, and operational effectiveness of advanced RF Electronic Warfare payloads within complex systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that electronic support and electronic attack capabilities meet stringent performance, reliability, and integration requirements, directly impacting system effectiveness across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

System Design and Architecture

  • Lead and contribute to the design of RF Electronic Support and Electronic Attack systems, from requirements definition through to verification and validation.
  • Elicit, decompose, manage, and trace system and equipment requirements across multiple levels.
  • Define system architectures and support integration, test, and qualification activities.

RF Performance and Technical Analysis

  • Develop, use, and maintain RF performance models to support design trade-offs and system validation.
  • Apply strong technical understanding of RF, electronic systems, and signal processing algorithms to assess system behaviour and performance.
  • Support analysis of system effectiveness against complex threat environments, including Integrated Air Defence Systems.

Payload Integration and Through-Life Support

  • Oversee the physical and functional integration of RF payloads into complex platforms.
  • Support the transition of development hardware into production, including environmental testing, qualification testing, and design certification.
  • Provide technical support across the product lifecycle, including in-service support activities.

Supplier and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Manage technical aspects of supplier relationships, including specification, procurement, delivery, and acceptance of hardware.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and procurement functions to ensure coherent system delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of
    5 years of professional experience
    in system design engineering within RF, electronic warfare, radar, communications, or similarly complex electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF Electronic Support and/or Electronic Attack systems, including platform integration.
  • Strong knowledge of RF and electronic systems, including algorithm design and implementation.
  • Proven experience in requirements management, system integration, verification, and validation.
  • Practical experience using systems engineering tools such as
    SysML, DOORS, and/or Rhapsody
    .
  • Experience working with suppliers on technically complex hardware developments.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a high-level security clearance, subject to national regulations.
