Job Summary:

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) based in Frankfurt, Germany, you will be the dedicated technical expert for Eagle Rise's lighting power supply (driver) solutions across European markets. Your primary focus will be to support customers (OEMs, lighting manufacturers, system integrators) with technical consultation, design-in guidance, and troubleshooting for our LED drivers and lighting-specific power products. Combining deep knowledge of lighting power electronics with fluent English communication (German a plus), you will ensure seamless integration of our solutions into customer lighting systems—from concept to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical contact for European lighting customers, understanding their specific driver requirements (e.g., dimming protocols [TRIAC/0-10V/DALI], efficacy, lifespan, safety certifications [CE/ENEC/TÜV], thermal management) and recommending optimized Eagle Rise driver solutions.
  • Guide customers through application design, including circuit configuration, input/output parameters, PCB layout, and compatibility with lighting fixtures (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial LEDs). Assist with prototype evaluation and pre-production validation.
  • Resolve customer issues during development or mass production (e.g., flickering, efficiency drops, compatibility failures) through root-cause analysis and practical solutions, ensuring minimal project delays.
  • Deliver technical presentations, webinars, or on-site sessions to introduce Eagle Rise's lighting driver product lines, key features, and application best practices (e.g., dimming optimization, safety compliance).
  • Collect and share customer insights (e.g., emerging lighting trends, unmet needs) with Eagle Rise's R&D and product teams to drive product improvements or new developments tailored to European markets.
  • Work closely with internal teams (R&D, quality, sales) to address technical challenges, accelerate customer design cycles, and support sales initiatives with technical differentiation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1~3 years of experience as an FAE or application engineer in lighting power supplies/LED drivers, with a proven track record of supporting European lighting customers (OEMs, lighting brands).
  • In-depth knowledge of LED driver topologies (e.g., isolated/non-isolated, constant current/voltage), dimming protocols (TRIAC/0-10V/DALI), and critical parameters (THD, PF, efficiency, lumen maintenance).
  • Familiarity with lighting safety standards (e.g., CE, ENEC, TÜV, UL 8750) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) requirements.
  • Proficient in using tools like oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and thermal analyzers to validate driver performance.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) for technical communication.
