Director, Business Segment Manager (m/f/d)
What tasks can you expect from us?
As Director, Business Segment Manager (m/f/d), you carry strategic responsibility for our site in Hadamar-Steinbach. You manage commercial and technical topics with entrepreneurial foresight and actively shape the future of Motec with your leadership experience and innovative strength. In doing so, you combine operational excellence with a clear understanding of market requirements and sustainable business development.
Strategic leadership of the Hadamar-Steinbach site and development of growth strategies in alignment with corporate objectivesSupporting executive management in building a diverse and high-performing organization. Talent management, development, and retention of employees within the Motec organization (and beyond)Direct responsibility for Business Development, Product Management, and R&D teams while overseeing day-to-day operations and all business areas to ensure operational excellenceAccountability for profit and loss (P&L), budget planning, and strategic resource and talent developmentDriving technological innovation and digital transformation initiativesRepresenting the company to customers, suppliers, and external stakeholdersStrategic planning of budgets, resources, and talent developmentLeading M&A activities to strengthen market position and support expansionEnsuring compliance with ESG standards and corporate governance policiesActing with fiduciary responsibility and transparency in all business decisionsWhat do we expect from you?
Bachelors degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plusSeveral years of experience in a senior leadership role with both commercial and technical responsibilities – ideally within the automotive or industrial technology sector - also proven track record of P&L and budget ownershipDemonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams with innovative mindset and the ability to inspire cross-functional teamsDeep expertise in market expansion, operational efficiency, and strategic executionExperience in M&A and post-merger integration is an advantageStrong understanding of ESG principles and corporate governance in a German business contextFluent in German and English, both written and spokenWhat do we offer you?
