Investment Director, PE-backed Healthcare Buy

About our client
Our client, an established player in the healthcare buy & build market, is looking to grow their team with an Investment Director. This position will be focused on executing a strong pipeline of potential targets in a fast-growing market with a lot of responsibility right from the start. You will drive the complete deal cycle, taking care of deal execution, due diligence and supporting with sourcing & negotiations. The location is flexible with a slight preference for Munich.

What the job involves

  • Planning, organization, and execution of M&A transactions
  • Cross-functional coordination of all project participants including target companies, PE Deal Team members, internal departments as well as external consultants (M&A consultants, auditors, lawyers)
  • Preparation and management of contract negotiations
  • Preparation of investment cases including company valuations and presentation of decision papers to the Board, and the Investment Committee of the PE firm
  • Working closely with investors and the management

Who we are looking for

  • Previous M&A experience from a M&A Boutique, Corporate M&A, Private Equity or Big 4, ideally with first healthcare exposure
  • Strong academic background with successfully completed university studies in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Extensive practical experience in the execution of M&A transactions (due diligence, valuation, project management)
  • Profound knowledge in business valuation, modelling of business cases and financial models
  • Good knowledge of accounting/balancing as well as strong analytical thinking skills and strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with a hands-on attitude
  • Written and spoken fluency in German and English is a must
