We are looking for a Finance Lead (d/f/m) who combines analytical rigor with entrepreneurial drive. In this role, you'll own Flexa's financial steering, from FP&A, budgeting, and liquidity management to building and reviewing business cases that shape key strategic decisions. You'll work closely with the founders and Enpal's finance leadership, setting up scalable processes, automating daily finance operations, and providing the clarity and insights that drive execution at every level.

Your Responsibilities

You will be involved in a wide range of strategic topics and lead Flexa's core financial steering responsibilities:

• Business Planning & Reporting: Own and continuously refine Flexa's business plan. Build a robust, driver-based financial model and ensure performance is tightly tracked against forecasts.

• Liquidity Management: Manage and forecast liquidity across all Flexa ventures - ensuring capital is deployed efficiently as the company scales at speed.

• Business Case Execution: Build and review business cases for new initiatives, product lines, and commercial partnerships - providing data-driven recommendations that guide leadership decisions.

• Finance Operations: Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations, ensuring all financial processes run smoothly, accurately, and on time.

• FP&A Excellence: Design scalable systems and models that capture the moving parts of our Virtual Power Plant - turning financial complexity into automation, transparency, and speed of execution.
  

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements: 

• Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or a senior FP&A / finance leadership role in a high-growth startup or scale-up.

• Analytical Strength: You combine deep financial modeling and data analysis skills with a pragmatic, business-driven mindset.

• Strategic Thinking: You understand how financial decisions translate into growth, margins, and company value — and can challenge assumptions with clarity and confidence.

• Operational Drive: You enjoy building processes from scratch, automating workflows, and creating systems that scale.

• Stakeholder Management: You can communicate complex topics clearly and credibly across all levels, including founders, investors, and external partners.

• Languages: Fluent English (C1) required; German is a plus but not mandatory.

Hello

I'm Fabian, Co-founder at Flexa. My passion for the energy transition began early, during my first internship at a wind farm contractor when I was just 16. Watching those massive turbines rise from the ground was a moment of awe that still resonates with me. After starting a few of my own ventures and completing my studies in Finance, I transitioned into the consulting industry, where I eagerly immersed myself in energy projects. From that point on, I was hooked.
