Head of Agile Delivery Unit

The Head of Agile Delivery Unit leads delivery management, ensuring predictable and efficient execution across technology, product, and business functions. Managing Delivery Managers and Project Managers, this role partners with Agile Enablement to build a sustainable delivery culture. While primarily leadership-focused, it remains hands-on in critical situations — resolving challenges, supporting complex initiatives, and leading by example.

In this position, you work within our hybrid model "Highly Remote" . Find out more about this model here . The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed

• As Head of Agile Delivery Unit you manage, mentor, and grow Delivery Managers, IT Project Managers, and Project Managers
• You build leadership capability and foster accountability within the unit
• Also, you oversee cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• You track and report delivery health, identify risks, and improve reporting practices
• Additionally, you implement and maintain delivery frameworks, governance, and portfolio practices within the unit
• You redesign and improve team rituals (e.g. standups, retros, check-ins) to strengthen delivery effectiveness

• You bring several years of experience in program, project, or delivery management in complex organizations
• Also, you have a proven track record in scaling delivery across multiple teams and programs
• You are experienced in designing and implementing delivery models from scratch — especially in environments with broken, absent, or misaligned SDLCs
• You are skilled in leadership, people development, and stakeholder management
• Besides that, you have a hands-on mindset with excellent communication skills in English and German
