Company Description

The client is seeking an HR Coordinator who will play a crucial administrative and operational support role for the HR Business Partner for Germany and Central Eastern Europe, based in Krefeld, Germany. The talent will assist in managing HR processes across Germany, Austria, Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia, ensuring smooth operations throughout the entire employee lifecycle — from contract creation and onboarding to offboarding and termination documentation.

This position also supports the rollout and administration of a new digital time tracking system in Germany, as well as ongoing HR compliance and process improvement efforts.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts, amendments, certificates, and termination letters.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for associates.
  • Manage HR records and ensure compliance with German employment law.
  • Maintain HR systems (e.g., Workday) and perform data audits and analytics.
  • Assist in the rollout and subsequent administration of the new digital time tracking system in Germany.
  • Handle general HR correspondence, employee queries, and HR documentation.

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in HR coordination or administration.
  • Knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with HR systems (e.g., Workday), MS Office, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting HR operations across multiple European countries.
  • Exposure to HR process improvement or system implementation projects.
  • Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or a multinational corporate HR environment.

Engagement Details

  • Hours: 38.5 hours/week (full-time)
  • Contract Length: 6 months minimum, likely extension
  • Location: Onsite in Krefeld, Germany
