Working Student Product Management Energy Products

We are looking for a Working Student in Product Management to join our Heartbeat Tech team in Munich. The Heartbeat Tech team drives the development of our end customer app, helping users understand how they generate, store, and consume energy in their homes. We are also responsible for Heartbeat AI, making sure our customers always have the cheapest and cleanest electricity in the market. You'll get hands-on experience working at the intersection of software, hardware, and clean energy — and help build the tools that empower thousands of households across Europe.

Get ready to join the team behind our flagship product, Heartbeat AI and Dynamic Pulse. You'll work on our core offering in four countries while also developing exciting new energy solutions for our customers.

As an Associate Product Manager in this cross-functional team consisting of developers, an domain expert, and a product manager, you will play a key role in building innovative energy products. These products help our customers use clean energy while aiming to reduce energy costs to zero. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Scoping of your own initiatives: Product management is never done. You will work on your own initiatives to improve the setup and the offering of our energy products
• Operations support: We are running a virtual power plant and must ensure a smooth operation. You will take over responsibility for certain parts of the operation activities and ensure a smooth operation
• Other product management activities: You will support in the diverse set of responsibilities the product manager has: Preparation and aftercare of workshops and routines, interviewing stakeholders, creating product requirement documents for new products, organizing team events etc.
• You will be an equal part of the team and be treated as such

The successful candidate will have:

• You are currently enrolled at a university and are available to work 20 hours per week
• You have a basic understanding of software
• You are excited about AI and are exploring use cases
• You have a solution-oriented mindset, capable of thinking critically and addressing challenges
• You take initiative and proactively contribute ideas on what to do next
• You demonstrate a strong drive to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
• You possess intrinsic motivation to help build exceptional products that delight users
• You have strong communication and organizational skills, essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams
• You have a history of going the extra mile to deliver outstanding results
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with quick decision-making
• You have very good spoken and written English, with proficiency in German considered a plus

• Familiarity with the energy industry, particularly the energy market
• Experience or knowledge in product management or software development
• Currently pursuing a Master's degree
