SENIOR DESIGNER MENSWEAR (m/f/d)

WHAT WE SEEK

•  A clear knowledge and understanding of current urban fashion and streetwear trends in Europe and the global markets
• A person who lives and breathes fashion; blood born desire to create innovative and tasteful collections
• Independently able to forecast colors and trends for the coming seasons, developing cohesive and commercially fashion forward collections in line with the brand DNA
• Ability to assign colors, fabric, and components, which are in line with the collection themes and brand DNA
• Sound knowledge of design and product development process with offshore suppliers in the Far East
• Strong technical knowledge for making, construction and fits
• ability to drive and secure these with technical teams and suppliers
• Ownership and responsibility to ensure all product meet our high quality expectations from sourcing and development all the way through to delivery
• Specialization in a particular group – Jackets / Outerwear / Denim / Heavy Knit / Jersey / Woven
• Knowledge of the target customer, lifestyle demographics and spending habits
• A flexible and resilient self-starter with excellent communication skills and positive "can-do" attitude
• Keeps motivated and stays focused and cool even when the "going-gets-tough"
• Works well in a team environment, sharing concepts and ideas with the team while developing junior team members
• Ability to communicate brand direction and collection development to working partners including graphics teams, e-commerce, sales and suppliers
• Confident to introduce and implement new and innovative work practices and methods
• Independent worker with good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines at all costs
• High quality standard of work and personal standards – we strive for the best
• Eagerness to travel to offshore suppliers, fairs and buying trips

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• University degree or similar qualification in fashion design
• Minimum 5 years in similar role
• Confident in both written and spoken English
• Sound knowledge and understanding of urban trends and streetwear brands
• Experience with Microsoft word and excel as well as Adobe illustrator and photo shop
• Availability to travel overseas for inspiration, sourcing and development trips

This is a full time position – no freelance options available.
