Role description

The core objective is to lead and manage SAP BODS engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery, effective stakeholder engagement, and adherence to quality and financial standards.

Core Responsibilities

• ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) to extract, transform, and load data from SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Data Integration & Migration: Handle data migration projects involving SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud targets (AWS, Azure). Apply transformation rules, validations, and performance tuning.
• SQL Expertise: Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling, cleansing, and validation across multiple databases (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA).
• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize BODS workflows and jobs for efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation & Testing: Create technical documentation; perform unit/integration testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Technical Skills

• SAP BODS: Expertise in the SAP BusinessObjects Data Services platform.
• ANSI-SQL: Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing standard SQL queries.
• Dimensional Data Modeling: Experience in designing data warehouses and data marts.
• MS Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Management & Soft Skills

• Communication: Must have good communication skills.
• Customer Handling: Ability to handle difficult customers or stakeholders.
• German Proficiency: An advantage for the role.
