Aufgaben

Als Head of Engineering verantwortest du die gesamte Entwicklungsorganisation und berichtest direkt an die Geschäftsleitung. Du stellst stabile Produktentwicklung sicher und treibst gleichzeitig die technologische Erneuerung voran.

  • Leadership & Engineering-Kultur: Du etablierst eine Engineering-Kultur mit klarer Verantwortung, Transparenz und Ownership. Team Leads entwickelst du durch klare Erwartungen, Coaching und regelmäßiges Feedback weiter.
  • Transformation von Legacy zu SaaS & AI: Du gestaltest die Zielarchitektur und steuerst eine schrittweise, realistische Modernisierung.
  • Delivery & Verlässlichkeit: Du sorgst für planbare Releases über Legacy- und neue Plattformen hinweg. Klare Prozesse schaffen Stabilität und Transparenz.
  • Architektur & Qualität: Du setzt verbindliche Architektur- und Engineering-Standards. Qualität, CI/CD und Security-by-Design sind fest im Entwicklungsprozess verankert.
  • Innovation & AI: Du förderst den gezielten Einsatz von AI in Engineering und Produkt.
  • Zusammenarbeit & Schnittstellen: Du arbeitest eng mit Geschäftsleitung, Produkt, Vertrieb und weiteren Stakeholdern zusammen und verbindest Strategie mit Umsetzung.
Qualifikation

  • Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englisch Kenntnisse

  • Min. 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Engineering-Umfeld

  • Mehrjährige Führungserfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung, idealerweise im ISV-Kontext

  • Nachweisbare Erfahrung in technologischen Transformationsprojekten (Legacy zu Cloud/SaaS)

  • Tiefes Verständnis von Softwarearchitekturen, CI/CD, DevOps und Testing

  • Klare Kommunikation, Entscheidungsstärke und hohe Umsetzungsenergie

  • Nice to haves

  • Erfahrung in Cyber-Security Unternehmen

  • Kenntnisse in Multi-Tenant-Architekturen

  • Grundverständnis von AI-/ML-Anwendungen
