tl;drKuro is building the AI automation platform for the back-office of construction companies. Our applied AI product is already live at leading construction enterprises, delivering a 90% efficiency increase.We're looking for a Founding Recruiter to build and scale our hiring engine from scratch owning everything from sourcing product minded engineers and AI talent to shaping how candidates experience Kuro's pace, quality, and kindness.Berlin, 68k€ +/- 20% (based on experience), 0.1% - 0.3% equityAbout the CompanyKuro is building the AI automation platform for construction companies. We help construction professionals to utilize their biggest data source - the 95% of unstructured data. Founded by Lea and Jonas, who bring 12 years experience from scaling construction tech companies like alcemy and Capmo. Our entry is in the estimation (quoting) process, the core and most expensive back office process. Our product extracts information from the project input, identifies building components automatically and enriches it back into a 3D model. Saving up to 90% time. Leading construction enterprises with a combined construction volume >30 billion annually use Kuro already today.We are 10 people on-site in Berlin. You would among our first business hires. Learn more: Join Kuro - BerlinAbout the RoleThe Opportunity: As our Founding Recruiter, you'll partner directly with the founders (Lea and Jonas) to hire entrepreneurial, product-minded engineers, AI talent, and exceptional business operators. You'll create clarity and process where none exists yet, ensuring every candidate feels the pace, quality, ambition, and kindness that define how we build Kuro. We're incredibly proud of the team we've built so far - a group of smart, humble, and driven individuals. Among our first four full-time hires are three former CTOs. As Kuro enters its next growth chapter, we're looking for someone who has been part of a scaling journey in a tech company and brings exceptional taste in talent - someone who knows what "great" looks like and how to attract it.Your ResponsibilitiesPartner with founders to define hiring plans, role priorities, and ideal profiles based on business needsOwn full-cycle recruiting for all roles - from AI, data, and full-stack engineering to sales, customer success, and designBuild and maintain strong, diverse candidate pipelines using creative sourcing strategiesShape and continuously refine Kuro's interview process - from messaging and scorecards to metrics and feedback loopsCollaborate with the team to deliver an exceptional candidate experience so that every touchpoint reflects Kuro's culture of curiosity, pace, quality, and empathyYour ProfileYou have worked as a recruiter or talent partner in a fast-growing tech company - now you're ready to take full ownership and help shape the foundation of a company from the ground up. You:Have 2+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles (software, data, AI/ML) and are excited to also hire for business roles (sales, operations, customer success)Have recruited across senior and mid-level levels in startup or growth-stage environmentsKnow how to build pipelines from scratch and manage multiple roles in parallelHave a great eye for talent and a proven track record of delivering high-quality hires fastCare deeply about candidate experience, storytelling, and brandThrive in 0→1 environments - structured enough to deliver quality, but fast-moving and pragmaticAre fluent in English (German is a plus)Are based in Berlin or willing to relocatePay range and compensation packageBerlin, 70k€ +/- 20% (based on experience), 0.1% - 0.4% equityTeam, Values & BenefitsWe work in-person from our office in Berlin Mitte.
