Join our motivated team in as Director of Search and Evaluation in the Business Development & Strategy team (BD&S) and grow with exciting challenges. Director Search & Evaluation (m/f/d)
you will be leading external engagement and technical diligence for potential partnerships. This will include the following activities:

• Act as an ambassador for Merz Therapeutics by identifying, evaluating, and building relationships with potential partners in specialty neuroscience.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence processes, including scientific, clinical, and operational assessments of partnership opportunities.
• Organize and deliver multi-functional technical due diligence deliverables, presentations, and recommendations in support of partnership opportunities.
• Provide insights on scientific trends and support evaluations in neuroscience and other therapeutic areas as needed.
• Contribute to strategic discussions, competitor analysis, and disease area reviews.
• Support outreach and technical due diligence for out-licensing activities of internal assets.
• Coordinate search and evaluation opportunities with BD negotiating peer and provide support to broader BD&S initiatives during peak periods.

YOUR PROFILE

• Successful completed university degree in natural sciences, with a PhD, MD, or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in biopharma industry, including at least 5 years in an external search & evaluation related role.
• Established industry network and history of participation in successful transactions.
• Proven track record in identifying and evaluating partnership opportunities.
• Hands-on experience with cross-functional technical due diligence.
• Strong understanding of drug development and the biopharma landscape, ideally combined with familiarity of science and medical trends in neuroscience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects with global stakeholders.
