How you will make an impact:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to support the day-to-day operations and compliance of our finance function. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with our fractional CFO and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial processes and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial data for submission to the external accounting and tax advisory firm.
• Manage and process accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain a comprehensive overview of all vendor agreements and assess their cash flow implications.
• Ensure the compliance, functionality, and optimization of the group's financial software, including bank integrations, expense management systems, and budgeting tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the CEO and CFO to support financial oversight and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Finance Process Manual to document internal workflows and procedures.
• Ensure timely completion and coordination of all mandatory monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions, including tax filings, financial closings, and audits. Act as the primary liaison for the exchange of required data and documentation.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of the existing finance setup, including staffing, processes, compliance measures, and tools, and implement improvements as needed to align with organizational goals.

What you need to be successful:

• Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a controlling role, ideally within a startup or international business environment.
• Experienced in working with DATEV Unternehmen Online.
• Strong skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and experience with financial software tools to help us driving automazation whereever possible.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask across deadlines.
• Business-fluent German and English language skills are mandatory for this role.
