VASPP GmbH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Data Center Architect
to join our global Data Center Management team. This role is crucial in designing and modernizing our Data Center Infrastructure, with a strong focus on implementing and managing cabling documentation projects across 30+ global Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and roll out new network cabling procedures and documentation standards for global Data Centers.
  • Apply modern tools and practices for both new and renovated Data Centers.
  • Document and standardize existing cabling infrastructure to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with global teams to develop standards and operational guides for racks, PDUs, and cabling systems.
  • Support the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) framework to enable efficient planning, decision-making, and operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    Advanced degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Data Center Architect or in a similar role implementing DCIM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network cabling technologies, structured cabling design, and process implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process design, and project management.
  • Certifications:
    CNCDP, TIA-942C, ISO 22237, or EN50600 (preferred).
  • Skills:
  • Strong project management and ITIL knowledge.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a globally distributed, multicultural environment.

About the Role

This position falls under the Data Center & Lifecycle Management Organization (DLS) within SAP's Global Cloud Infrastructure Delivery (GCID). The team is responsible for setting and evolving global standards for data center design, operations, and documentation.
