YOUR ROLE
As
Brand Manager
,
you'll share responsibility for the leadership and development of our two key brands. You'll take our brand strategy to the next level, translating it into practical guidelines, clear messages, and consistent experiences across media, digital, CRM, and everything in between.
This role is made for someone who loves both: big-picture brand thinking and hands-on execution. You'll work closely with Performance Marketing, CRM, SEO, Design, Content, Product and Customer Excellence, making sure that every customer journey feels coherent, consistent and unmistakably "us".
From the first creative briefing to the final campaign analysis, you'll keep a close eye on how our brand shows up, ensuring that performance and identity always go hand in hand.
YOUR TASKSBrand strategy & positioning
Evolve and maintain the brand positioning for billiger- and within our existing brand framework.
Translate our positioning into a clear communication framework, including core messages, tone of voice, and practical do's and don'ts for every channel.
Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to anchor the brand across the entire organisation.
Communication framework & messaging
Develop and maintain messaging guidelines for paid, owned, and earned media.
Ensure that all campaigns and assets reflect our brand promise and strategic direction.
- Prepare impactful briefings for internal teams and external partners, with clear objectives and brand requirements.
Cross-channel campaign alignment
- Make sure campaigns are consistent from the first ad to the last touchpoint, including landing pages, funnel, CRM and retention.
- Align messages and offers with Performance Marketing, CRM and Product to create a seamless customer experience.
- Act as a sparring partner for Customer Excellence, helping ensure that even service and complaint communication strengthen our brand.
- Work hand-in-hand with our in-house design team to bring ideas to life through strong, on-brand visuals and assets.
Brand measurement & insights
- Build and refine a setup to measure brand strength (awareness, preference, brand health).
- Analyse brand and campaign data to extract actionable insights.
- Collaborate with BI and research partners on brand tracking, campaign testing, and creative pre-tests.
Campaign & asset development
- Support the concept and evaluation of campaigns across TV, video, OOH, and digital channels.
- Partner with agencies and production teams to ensure creative excellence and consistency.
- Balance creativity with performance: every idea should look great and deliver results.
Enablement & Brand governance
- Develop brand guidelines, playbooks, and toolkits for teams and partners.
- Share brand updates in team days and onboarding sessions, keeping everyone aligned and inspired.
- Keep an ongoing eye on our brand experience across website, app, service communication and CRM templates.
International collaboration
- Coordinate closely with colleagues to ensure brand consistency with local relevance in the French market.
- Support campaign adaptation across DACH and France.
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years' experience in Brand Management, Marketing Communications or a similar role, ideally in digital B2C, e-commerce, travel, or marketplace environments.
- Hands-on brand builder: you've not only briefed agencies but developed and implemented brand strategies yourself.
- Experience managing full campaign lifecycles: from concept to creation, production and performance review.
- Comfortable working with cross-media campaigns (TV/video + digital + CRM).
- Data-savvy: you understand brand and campaign KPIs and know how to turn insights into action.
- Strong ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging customer messages.
- Excellent written and spoken German, fluent English; French is a plus.
- Structured, reliable, and proactive, with a genuine sense of ownership.
- You enjoy being in our Cologne office at least two days a week and value collaboration with creative minds.
