passionate cell biologist or biochemist
with experience in (stem cell) culture to join our
cell culture media formulation team
in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct independent experiments on suspension culture to develop novel cell culture media formulations using Design of Experiments (DoE) approaches
  • Evaluate and optimise cell proliferation and productivity
  • Perform statistical analyses of experimental data to guide formulation optimisation
  • Manage a library of raw materials and stock solutions for integration with liquid handling systems
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, interpret results, and prepare reports and presentations
  • Support and guide other team members in experimental planning, data interpretation, and defining strategic next steps

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD
    in a relevant field (e.g. Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience
    in mammalian cell culture
  • Demonstrated experience with
    cell culture techniques and equipment
    , ideally across multiple cell types
  • Strong
    critical thinking
    and
    data interpretation
    skills
  • Excellent
    English communication skills
    , both written and spoken
  • Collaborative mindset
    , enthusiasm, and a kind attitude when working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with
    Design of Experiments (DoE)
    methodologies
  • Background in
    media formulation
    or
    metabolomics
  • Prior work in cellular agriculture
    or
    cell-cultivated meat alternatives
  • Ability to perform statistical modelling
    or
    multivariate data analysis
  • Familiarity with automated or high-throughput liquid handling systems
  • Working knowledge of German
