Merantix Momentum is a Berlin-based AI startup focusing on accelerating AI adoption across many industries through B2B solutions, as well as publicly funded research projects. We work across several domains, including manufacturing, healthcare, the German public sector, and many more, transforming businesses as an external machine learning department. We achieve this using our core expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning combined with our culture of rapid iterations to build scalable solutions.

The AI Solution Architect (m/f/d) at Merantix Momentum is a unique opportunity to drive AI adoption across industries. You'll design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions, advise clients strategically, and turn complex challenges into scalable, production-ready systems

Your role

• Design and deliver end-to-end AI solutions, architecting scalable, production-ready systems that solve complex business challenges.
• Translate business and operational challenges into actionable AI use cases with measurable impact.
• Lead pre-sales and scoping, evaluating feasibility, estimating effort, identifying risks, and shaping compelling proposals.
• Develop technical architectures tailored to client IT and data landscapes, ensuring seamless integration.
• Steer AI initiatives across client engagements and internally, aligning stakeholders, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions are innovative yet practical.
• Represent Merantix Momentum externally, driving thought leadership through industry events, publications, and business development activities.

Your profile

You're a confident, technically fluent professional who thrives at the intersection of AI/ML, data systems, and enterprise IT. You know how to translate complex operational challenges into actionable AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. You combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and client-facing charisma, and you're comfortable navigating both detailed technical discussions and strategic conversations with key decision makers.

You would be a great fit if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, with solid exposure to AI/ML concepts and data systems
• Experience in AI/ML solution design, scoping, and feasibility assessment, including risk identification and mitigation
• Strong understanding of data and cloud architectures, with experience building scalable AI/ML systems on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, along with familiarity with data engineering and MLOps best practices and tools used
• Process mapping and requirements engineering experience (BPMN, SIPOC, User Story Mapping)
• Client-facing, persuasive, value-driven, with demonstrated stakeholder management and pre-sales experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable taking ownership of opportunities and co-driving business outcomes
• Fluency in German and English
