HVDC Project Lead

HVDC Project Lead required for a major Transmission Systems Operator based in Germany.
Responsibilities
Project Focus: Delivery of specialist project leadership for power electronics within the HVDC system, emphasizing onshore and offshore converter systems.
Additional Sites: Occasional travel for supplier coordination and project discussions.
Lead the technical project management for HVDC systems within NSC2, including onshore and offshore converter stations.
Coordinate and manage the entire specialist team, from tendering to contract award and execution.
Act as the primary technical contact for HVDC system-related matters, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee quality and contractual compliance throughout planning and implementation phases.
Support technical evaluations and risk assessments during project execution.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., NABEG, BNetzA, BSH) and environmental regulations.Requirements
Completed master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in HVDC systems and converter technology.
Strong knowledge of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage technology (AC and DC).
Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations.
Excellent communication skills in German (native level) and English (business fluent).
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and manage complex technical projects.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
