At Johnson Electric, we are shaping the future of mobility and we are looking for a talented and driven Sales Segment Leader to join our team in the Stuttgart area - the heart of the automotive world in Germany.
In this position you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by taking ownership of your market segment, developing customer relationships, and creating tailored solutions for success. You will combine strategic leadership with high-level sales management to elevate team performance and market success, while primarily managing projects within the product segments of electric motors and related systems.
You will be responsible for:
- Drive sales success by proactively identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with existing customers and executing sales strategies- Lead and oversee the daily sales activities of your assigned team, driving performance and ensuring successful execution of the sales process- Lead negotiations and manage customer accounts with key decision-makers at OEMs and Tier1 suppliers with a focus on long-term partnerships- Negotiate and close complex deals to achieve revenue targets- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities- Collaborate closely with engineering and technical teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer requirements- Represent Johnson Electric at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Our requirements:
- Successfully completed business degree or comparable technical qualification- Proven track record in sales within the automotive industry (minimum 5 years preferred)- People management experience- Good technical understanding of automotive technologies and solutions- Fluency in English is a must and fluent German would be advantageous to communicate effectively with local clients and stakeholders- You thrive in a self-managed, individual contributor role- Strong sales management skills, with the ability to lead complex negotiations, develop strategic customer relationships, and deliver results in a competitive market- Willingness to travel mainly within Europe
