Zur Verstärkung unseres Teams an unserem Hauptsitz in Jena suchen wir schnellstmöglich eine engagierte Persönlichkeit als Data Scientist Optical Spectroscopy (w/m/d).

**Ihre Herausforderungen**
- Sie entwickeln Datenprozessierungs-Algorithmen im Bereich der optischen Spektroskopie im laboranalytischen Umfeld
- Die von Ihnen entwickelten Algorithmen kommen in Messgeräten zum Einsatz mit höchstem Anspruch an Genauigkeit, Präzision und Robustheit
- Sie finden eigenmotiviert innovative Berechnungs
- und Modellierungsansätze und steigern damit signifikant die Leistungsfähigkeit unserer Messgeräte
- Sie generieren neue Ideen, um aus der der Fülle der Messdaten wertvolle Informationen ableiten, die Kundennutzen stiften
- Sie erschließen moderne Entwicklungs-Methoden wie z.B. Machine Learning oder anderer Cutting-Edge Technologien und wenden diese erfolgreich anSie arbeiten proaktiv an Research-Projekten mit

**Ihr Profil**
- abgeschlossenes naturwissenschaftliches Studium (idealerweise mit Promotion), z.B. als Physiker, Physikingenieur (Software-Ingenieure mit physikalischem Hintergrund sind auch willkommen)
- ein gutes Grundverständnis für optische Systeme, idealerweise in der optischen Spektroskopie
- Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich der Datenverarbeitung von physikalischen Messdaten und ein solides statistisches Grundverständnis
- Sehr gute Vorkenntnisse in der Programmierung in Skriptsprachen mit Tools wie MATLAB, Octave oder Python
- Idealerweise, aber nicht notwendigerweise, Vorerfahrungen in der Programmierung mit C# und/oder Bezug zu Hardware Acceleration
- Freude an der Zusammenarbeit in einem stark interdisziplinären Entwicklungsumfeld mit Firmware-Spezialisten, Software-Ingenieuren und Applikationsspezialisten
- selbstständige Arbeitsweise und hohes Maß an Kreativität bei der Lösungsfindung gepaart mit Fähigkeit zu effektiver Zusammenarbeit in einem Team von Spezialisten
- gute Englisch-Kenntnisse und fließende DeutschkenntnisseBereitschaft zu gelegentlichen Reisen innerhalb Deutschlands
