In the 1950s, global trade changed for good. The invention of the standardized container suddenly meant that transporting goods across the world became affordable. And with that, paved the way for globalization and global wealth. But contrary to the container, most surrounding processes have not been standardized nor innovated—and are still frustratingly complex, manual, and error-prone.

That’s why our ambition is to use technology to simplify the logistics of global trade, making the processes around the container as simple as the container itself. We do that by providing a neutral infrastructure that connects all logistics companies to remove friction and create economic opportunity.

Head of Leasing (f/m/d)

The leasing marketplace was the very first product built at xChange and currently accounts for the Largest Share of our revenues and booking volume. Its main goal is the matching of container supply and demand worldwide, helping our customers to efficiently secure container bookings, which pre-xChange was a manual and significantly more tedious task.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-energy Head of Leasing to take over ownership of the Leasing Marketplace at xChange. You will be responsible for identifying challenges and opportunities within the current product, highlighting new growth potential to scale it further. You will have a dedicated product, tech, and operations team from the very beginning while working closely with our founders and all teams at xChange (including Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Talent).

**Requirements**:
Your responsibilities in a nutshell
- Take full ownership of our Leasing Marketplace, the original customer-facing service offered by xChange
- Develop a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of leasing at xChange, leveraging these to scale the Leasing Marketplace further
- Work closely with the product team to further increase the value of the Leasing Marketplace as well as the revenue it generates by further driving its monetization
- Work closely with our Founders on topics related to the strategy and commercialization of the Leasing Marketplace
- Collaborate closely with our Head of Marketing and VP of Sales to increase the product awareness and the success of our go-to-market strategies
- Build and scale your team that consistently meets and exceeds objectives, while maintaining a great working culture. You will also drive the hiring and coaching of new teammates closely working with our Talent team

What we’re looking for
- You are an experienced leader with a great track record in building and managing high performing teams, ideally in a SaaS environment (prior experience in logistics is an advantage but no must-have)
- Intellectual horsepower - You have a strong entrepreneurial mind and commercial approach; you think strategically and know how to base your decisions on solid numbers
- You feel at home in a fast-growth environment and understand the benefits and the challenges of it
- You have a high personal drive and are excited about building world-class products and equally excited about establishing scalable processes to help your team making them even more successful
- You are highly organized and have a strong analytical approach - you are always on top of your numbers
