Associate Intraday Trader

**Berlin Office | Full-Time Role | Proprietary Trading**

**About the Role**

We are looking for an Associate Intraday Trader to join our growing Berlin office. This is an opportunity for a dynamic and commercial individual to develop a career within the world of commodity trading and renewable energy. This role provides exposure in a fast-growing international company, joining a successful team who trade across Europe on a proprietary basis to keep up with market demand.

Please note, due to the nature of Intraday Trading, this role is required to work a shift rota which includes working weekends, bank holidays and nights.

**Responsibilities**:

- Upon joining, undertake our bespoke nine-week Intraday training program, providing accelerated career knowledge and expert insights into European short term power markets.
- Optimising portfolios and executing trades, including ownership of monitoring profit and loss.
- Working in a fast-paced team environment whilst managing market and operational risks.
- In time, developing the platform by adding new products, markets, trading strategies, models, counterparts and clients.
- Undertaking regular project work when 'off shift' based on your skills. Projects can be analytical, quantitative or commercial.
- Contributing to and working as part of an entrepreneurial culture.

**About You**

This person will have a keen interest in becoming an expert within a commodity trading environment. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following:
**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable knowledge and thorough understanding of European power markets.
- Knowledge and experience of programming (Python, C#) is highly desirable but not required.

Other Attributes:

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Fluent English language skills. Other language skills are desirable but not required.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Analytical and highly numerate, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across the Intraday team, cross-functional teams and other levels of the global business.
