The zetcom group develops international leading software solutions and services for museums, collections, and corporate archives as well as solutions for organizational management (foundations and associations) and environmental data management (administration and companies). Over 1,000 clients in more than 30 countries are using our flexible software solutions (SaaS) to maintain and develop cultural heritage, to manage the daily business or administer environmentally relevant institutions. They are supported by our headquarters in Switzerland, by our subsidiaries in Germany, the USA, Spain, France and by our worldwide partners. For our office in Berlin, we are looking for a Team Lead Application Development (f/m/d), permanent, 80 - 100 %.

Tasks

You are leading our development team by delivering high-quality solutions for the projects, on a planning, technical and people aspects. You are reporting to the Head of Group Services, and taking part in cross-team activities to transform and accelerate the work and improve collaboration with the other parts of zetcom, intending to scale up efficiency.

This role is ideal for you if you have a software engineering background with some experience in coaching colleagues and want to take a leadership role in both technical and people aspects.
- Lead the development team (7 people) in delivering and supporting high quality, sustainable solutions according to the client requirements, timeframe, and budget
- Manage team resources and organization to ensure long-term plannability
- Lead team ownership of standard components/libraries across many projects, including designing new components and maintaining existing ones
- Act as a technical consultant/partner for projects, pre-sales and product development
- Manage the people within the team
- Participate in cross-team activities to improve collaboration and efficiency

**Requirements**:

- University degree in IT
- Technical background in the Java stack. Groovy is an advantage
- Previous experience in technical leadership (e.g., principal/lead developer)
- Previous experience in leading people, or coaching / mentoring developers
- Good people skills (empathy, listening, willingness to work with people)
- Good organization skills (planning, time management)
- Strategic decision-making skills
- Good communicator, able to convince
- Fluent in English. German is an advantage
