**Duties**:
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and parents in the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- Ensures services specified in the IFSP/ Individualized Educational Program (IEP) are delivered in accordance with requirements and designed to meet the identified goals and timelines.
- Utilizes the Routines-Based Interview (RBI) to conduct a comprehensive family-centered assessment of the resources, priorities, and concerns of the family.
- Identifies the support and services required to enhance the family’s capacity to meet the needs of the eligible infant/ toddler or school aged student.
- Utilizes professional diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to perform screening and evaluation of infant/ toddler fine motor functioning and across all developmental domains.
- Utilizes professional judgement in evaluating and providing services to school age children.
- Serves as service coordinator for assigned families and as a liaison to school-based or other community-based service delivery programs.
- Ensures the development of plans to effectively transition children from the Early Intervention Services (EIS) to preschool services or other programs as children turn 3 years old, or when families move to new communities.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete and maintain credentialing and privileging requirements.
- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Required to possess and maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth territory.

Basic Requirement for Occupational Therapist:
Degree: A graduate (or higher level) degree that included an occupational therapy curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained, and completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
Certification: Applicants must have passed the national examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
**Exemption**: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0631 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
**Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes delivering occupational therapy to children of all ages; evaluating occupational therapy services for developmental and educational needs; collaborating across disciplines to develop care and educational plans; and utilizing standardized test measurements and clinical interviews to formulate service delivery plans for children of all ages.
