Together, let's build a world where privacy and security shape the future of communication. **GENERAL INFORMATION**: - Employment Type: Permanent - Previous working experience: 10 years+ - Working hours: 40 hours/week - Working Location: Berlin - Remote possible - Reports to: CEO Benjamin Schilz **YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE**: As Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for the full scope of the Wire Group's commercial and financial operations, which span Germany, Switzerland, the US, and France. As part of the leadership team and especially as a strategic partner to the CEO, you will lead financial strategy and planning, manage risk, and ensure operational excellence across all finance functions as described below. With the growth of Wire and the increasing demands that come with it, this role is perfect to progress into a CFO position. **Your role includes**: **Accounting, Audit & Tax** - Lead accounting across multiple countries under local GAAP (German HGB, US-GAAP, Swiss GAAP, French PCG). - Ensure timely monthly closings and consolidated reporting. - Coordinate year-end financial statements and audits. - Ensure liquidity and manage rolling cash forecasts and cash runway. - Oversee multi-currency treasury operations (EUR, USD, CHF). - Overseeing tax strategy, filings, and audits across jurisdictions. - Ensure compliance with VAT and income tax across seven entities. **Financial Planning & Analysis** - Drive financial planning and analysis to support business growth. - Evaluating and scaling the finance tech stack (e.g., ERP, billing, FP&A tools) to support Wire’s growth. - Leading automation of financial processes to improve speed and accuracy. **Corporate Finance** - Assist the CEO in representing Wire in investor and M&A discussions, including funding rounds. - Assist financing initiatives: equity, debt, convertibles. - Support due diligence and legal aspects of M&A. **YOUR PROFILE**: - 10+ years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role in a fast growing and dynamic environment, ideally in a SaaS or international tech company. - Proven experience leading finance through a Series B-D fundraising cycle (VC or PE-backed environment) - Hands-on experience with enterprise SaaS business models, metrics (e.g., ARR, CAC, LTV, NRR), and revenue recognition (ASC 606 or IFRS 15) - International finance experience, ideally across Europe and North America, including multi-entity consolidation, local tax compliance, and transfer pricing - Deep expertise in German GAAP and group consolidation. - High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive mindset. - Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), MS Office and/or Google Suite. - Fluency in German and English (written and verbal). **WHY WIRE?**: - Join a market-proven (>1,800 customers) company and drive Wire to become the worldwide market leader. - Investment in professional development with an annual education budget of €1,000. - 30 days of vacation entitlement, allowing you to take well-deserved time off and maintain a healthy work-life balance. - With an Urban Sports Club subscription, stay balanced, mentally and physically healthy - Work from a beautiful office in the heart of Berlin, or choose a mix of working from anywhere vs. spending selected days together in our office to connect on a personal level. - Enjoy fresh breakfast in the office, daily fruits, snacks, free soft drinks, and a nice Barista coffee machine. - Wire is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on gender, civil status. **CONTACT**: We look forward to hearing from you **About us**: We're building a secure, easy-to-use, and feature-rich communication tool with the latest technologies.
