**Job mission**:
The Tax and Accounting Expert is an integral member of the Kia EU tax and accounting working group and will manage certain Financial Accounting and Tax topics for the organization; develop and drive a wide range of Accounting Tax financial analysis focused on business trends and evaluation of performance, projections and reports to support in driving business results; ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. HGB, IFRS), income tax and VAT regulations, withholding tax and systems of internal control; review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes, tax law and regulations.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with local statutes and regulations.
- Support senior management in tax-related matters, including transfer pricing documentation and tax declarations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax and accounting laws, providing detailed analysis and business reviews.
- Prepare monthly tax provisions, calculate deferred taxes, and assist with transfer pricing adjustments.
- Manage asset accounting and inter-company reconciliation.
- Process invoices and bank statements, utilizing SAP where applicable.
- Prepare financial statements, provisions, statistics, and VAT returns in accordance with IFRS and HGB.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with departments, customers, and suppliers.
- Support internal and external audits, including tax audits.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

**Your talents**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proven track record as a tax specialist and/or accountant.
- Preferably tax advisor exam.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years professional experience in business consulting firms or automotive industry or other international environment.

**Skills**:

- Extensive knowledge of accounting methods, German tax laws.
- Flexibility and openness to take over other but related tasks.
- Ability to think strategically while understanding issues in detail.
- Communicative and responsive.
- Professional computer skills (MS-Office).
- Experience with ERP System (SAP) preferred.
- Fluent in German and English.
