We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Head of Innovation and Product Development / Head of Portfolio Strategy to join our rapidly-expanding company. The key functions of this role are to serve as the owner of our portfolio, innovator and scientific expert behind the formulation of all of our Glow25 products and to offer continuous support in the development of current and future products.

**Strategic portfolio leadership and innovation**:

- Focus on strategy and vision: Lead the development of our portfolio strategy, ensuring it aligns with our company’s vision. Focus on creating innovative, customer-centric products that stand out in the global markets.
- Idea generation / conceptualization: Drive the ideation and conceptualization of new products and enhancements on existing ones, making sure they are based on scientific innovation and clearly differentiate us in the market.
- Feasibility analysis: Assess the viability of new product ideas, including potential market success and return on investment. Develop strategies for product development in international markets, ensuring Glow25's global relevance.

**R&D**:

- Focus on product creation and development: Establish and manage the R&D process for new products from inception to launch, ensuring a focus on scientific innovation, market needs, and regulatory compliance.
- Scientific innovation: Direct the formulation and development of new products and enhancements of existing ones, to ensure that products meet the highest standards of efficacy and safety.
- Prototyping / testing: Manage testing phases, including organizing prototypes, pilot runs, and consumer testing. Analyze feedback and adjust product formulas or concepts accordingly to meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.

**Data-driven decision making**:

- Partner with Research to expand our understanding of key ingredients, pushing the boundaries of beauty and wellness.
- Use big data analytics to gather and interpret customer surveys, market research, and competitor data. Convert complex data into actionable insights that drive product innovation and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze market trends and consumer needs to forecast future opportunities. These insights will guide our portfolio strategy and prioritize new product development projects.

**You have the following experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a product development role within Food, Beverage, supplement and cosmetics industry, ideally within a company with a small to medium SKU portfolio.
- Scientific background in food technology or food science.
- Expertise in strategic portfolio management, product development, and market analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience in a similar leadership role, with a track record of successful team management and project delivery.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of pitching innovative ideas and strategies to senior management.
- Forward-thinking, with a thing for anticipating industry trends and identifying future opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
