**The team you'll be part of**

Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards.

You will be joining the System Architecture and Solution Design (SASD) team, which is creating software architectures, design patterns and solution blueprints for Bell Labs research software and develops new architecture principles for emerging technology domains. The team is also building the software development backend for Bell Labs research. The SASD team has a global footprint with members in the US, France and Germany and collaborates closely with a diverse set of Bell Labs researchers to create world-class technology innovations, integrated solutions, and proof-of-concept systems.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

We are looking for senior software architects and technology evangelists who like to push boundaries in software design, solve complex technology problems, and lead diverse technical project teams to innovate and create novel software solutions. As part of our team, you will:

- Create cutting-edge software architectures and solution designs for Bell Labs software systems, research prototypes and customer-facing innovations.
- Develop software technology visions for Bell Labs and create new architecture and design principles for emerging technology domains (e.g., Web3 and Industry 4.0).
- Lead cross-functional projects with Bell Labs researchers, practitioners and members from Business Units to create innovative solutions and new architectures.
- Communicate new software technologies, practices and complex technology choices to colleagues and senior leaders in Bell Labs and Nokia.

**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related disciplines and 15+ years of relevant work experience.
- A proven track record of creating end-to-end architectures and designs for complex systems and a deep understanding of modern software and cloud-native principles.
- The ability to bring together diverse teams to solve complex technical problems, create integrated end-to-end architectures, and develop technology visions.

It would be nice if you also had:

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in one (or more) of the following technology areas: Industry 4.0, Web3 designs, and AI-based systems.
- Broad understanding of current industry trends, emerging software systems, and new design patterns and principles.
