We are looking for a Postdoc for the Metal-Organic Interfaces (MOIN) Group at the Department of Interface Science.

1 Postdoctoral Position

**PROJECT**: Metal-Organic Networks for the Electrochemical Reduction of CO2

Inspired by the catalytic processes taking place in metalloenzymes, we are interested in the catalytic activity of metal-organic assemblies during the electrochemical reduction of CO2. In particular, well-defined two-dimensional metal-organic networks grown under ultra-high vacuum (UHV) conditions are excellent systems to study the influence of molecular arrangements, functional groups and metallic centers in the activity, selectivity and stability of the catalyst.

The Postdoc position is initially for one year, with the possibility of extending it up to three years.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- A PhD in chemistry, physics, physical chemistry or chemical engineering preferably with prior experience in electrochemistry or UHV experimentation
- Experience at performing complex experiments with a high drive to solve scientific and practical/instrumental challenges independently
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent English skills
