**Duties**:
- Plans, schedules, organizes and implements outdoor activities. Activities include but are not limited to cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, skeet shooting, parks, ranges, mountain climbing and overnight recreational trips.
- Demonstrates techniques and instructs participants in the use of equipment. Coordinates with installation, county, and state officials on programs and information related to outdoor recreation and required licenses.
- Researches, plans and develops or enlarges outdoor recreation areas. Prepares standard operating procedures. May assist in the preparation and development of the annual operating budget and 5-Year Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR215-3, 2-131 to include a National Agency Check (NACI).
- Schedule may include irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends. Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience or a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
- Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience.**Highly Preferred criteria**:
Ability to obtain a Class 2 or 3 license (B, BE, D or DE) to drive vehicles and vehicles with trailers.
- Possess certifications or experience leading groups in outdoor recreation activities such as climbing, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, archery, paintball, cycling, and bicycle maintenance.**Education**:
