WHAT WE DO:
Reflex is on a mission to deliver tailor made, high performance satellite platforms an order of magnitude faster than current market trends.

We are revolutionising satellite manufacturing with faster development, assembly, integration and testing at competitive prices. Reflex Aerospace is a “black label” manufacturer producing the highest quality “Made in Germany” products.

By offering smart financing models such as the “satellite subscription”, we make our platforms affordable for an even broader range of customers. In the midterm, Reflex platforms will become the working horse for companies offering space-as-a-service as well as the platforms of choice for small to mid-size constellations as well as for governmental and defense customers.

At Reflex Aerospace we believe that in the coming years, Classic Space and New Space will overlap and ultimately merge into a new generation of satellite technology - the Next Space. We want to be prepared to claim a large share of this new market. We believe that the best and most innovative solutions are born in a mixed environment, shaped by professionals from both domains and enriched by people from parallel (non space) environments. Absolute key roles in our team have our heads of systems. We have two of them:
Head of Classic Space Systems (closed) - Experienced mastermind behind the most crucial and reliable parts of our platforms. With more than a decade of systems engineering experience from a classic space company, he/she oversees the whole development process and helps the engineering team to design our products in a way, that they are accepted by demanding customers who typically work with classic space providers.

Head of NewSpace (Hiring) - Disruptive genius, who does not believe that anything is set in stone. With solid experience from the new space domain he/she knows how to quickly design, build and iterate solutions until they fulfill customer requirements. He/she is always informed about newest relevant technologies and constantly improves and accelerates our internal processes.

The “heads” work on the same level and report to the CTO. From their synergies and from the friction, the best systems arise. They co-lead the platform development and supervise a constantly growing team of engineers from different hard
- and software domains.

**Requirements**:
Day-to-Day
- Work hand in hand with our Head of Classic Space Systems and co-lead our mixed engineering core team towards the realization of our NextSpace platform technology
- Contribute to and influence the technology and product roadmaps of the company
- Coordinate and accelerate the development of important platform functions
- Implement the newest engineering methodologies, prototyping, manufacturing and testing techniques
- Work with mission managers on customer specific implementations
- Challenge the status quo, always, and design the future of aerospace
- Strategic decision making: Be part of a wonderful entrepreneurship experience with a high decision power across strategic topics

**Qualifications**:

- Team leadership skills
- Aerospace Geek
- Excellent communication skills and decisive decision making skills
- Professional experience of at least 5 years in New Space companies
- Proven track record of successful satellite missions and the “end-to-end” space experience, from order to launch
- Deep understanding of satellite platforms on system level and in depth experience with at least one subsystem
- Good understanding of electronics (you should know how to use an oscilloscope)
- Experience with software defined systems as well as with software development
- Intense drive for innovation and agility around development
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Strategic thinking and hands-on knowledge of the latest technologies
