If you’re hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there’s only one choice.** **Medical Sustainability Excellence Project Lead (all genders)** **YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** You have global responsibility to development and implementation of an operating model to ensure excellence, efficiency and harmonization in the maintenance and (medical) management of our established / mature Bayer PH product portfolio. Additionally you are leading activities and initiatives for the medical leadership to achieving our Corporate Sustainability, Inclusion & Diversity (DE&I) goals and tackling societal topics such as Climate Change & Health and Healthcare & Human rights. - Identify, pilot and implement activities and initiatives to increase the Medical contribution to achieving Bayer’s ambitious Sustainability Mission, Vision and Goals, including Access to Medicines, ESG, as well as NTD and 100 million Women initiatives. - Establish Medical Sustainability as Center of Excellence to provide strategic counsel, act as connector function between different initiatives, coordinate and help to effectively communicate Medical Affairs Sustainability contribution. - Ensure excellence, efficiency and harmonization in the (medical) management of our established / mature Bayer PH product portfolio. - Maintain and maximize value (to patients and business) of our mature product portfolio by identifying and realizing efficiencies and synergies in license to operate / maintenance processes, partnering with relevant functions inside and outside of CMO, and utilizing innovative approaches developed by other EMS functions to ensure the planning, development and implementation of high-quality Medical Affairs data, content, projects and initiatives. - Establish targeted approach to fostering I&D (DE&I) in CMO by establishing and maintaining an CMO I&D (DE&I) Council to ensure that CMO KPIs are developed and met on a rolling annual basis, in line with Corporate and PH I&D (DE&I) goals. **WHO YOU ARE** - Medical degree (MD, MBChB or equivalent, PhD preferable) with relevant clinical practice experience - Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry with deep experience of Medical Affairs and the applicable rules, processes, responsibilities and interfaces of key areas within Pharmaceuticals (e.g. Medical Affairs & PV, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Communications, Business / Commercial, Product Supply) - Experience designing and implementing systemic Sustainability interventions across functions and across industry sectors as well as working at the intersection of Pharmaceuticals, Academia, Public Policy, NGOs etc to drive ESG/Sustainability initiatives - Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving, communication, reporting, presentation and negotiation skills - Demonstrating success in project - and process management - A strong "global mindset" and ability to function autonomously in complex environments - Applies VACC leadership behaviors and approach - Fluency in English is essential; verbally and in writing, anchored in proven effective communication skills to communicate business strategies and capabilities internally and externally. **YOUR APPLICATION** This is your opportunity to tackle the world’s biggest challenges with us: Maintaining our health, feeding growing populations and slowing the rate of climate change.
