We are seeking an Accountant for a 12 months maternity cover in the finance department. The role is located in our Berlin office. **About the role**: As an accountant at the holding company, you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage in exciting responsibilities such as enhancing the quality of financial data by streamlining accounting processes and increasing the overall automation within the department. You’ll be collaborating closely with colleagues in the finance department based in Berlin and in other sennder entities, as well as with other teams across the sennder group. In this role you will.. - Take responsibility for accounting for indirect accounts payable - Process and code incoming supplier invoices and monitor purchase orders using our newly implemented procurement tool “ZIP” and ERP NetSuite - Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies - Review and record travel expenses and other employee reimbursements using our tool “Rydoo” - Review and reconcile general ledger as well as indirect supplier account balances in NetSuite - Review automated payment proposals and execute regular payment runs - Assist with month-end close processes and support the preparation of financial reports and account statements - Participate in the execution of internal controls - Oversee intercompany transactions, including invoicing and regular reconciliation with counterparties - Contribute to continuous automation efforts for accounting and financial reporting - Implement and further develop our processes within the scope of dedicated projects. - Assists with VAT returns and support in the preparation of other tax returns for German entities - Actively participate in annual financial audits by preparing answers to auditor’s queries and requests WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - A qualified accountant and/or you completed studies in economics with a focus on accounting, taxes or corporate finance - Minimum 1-2 years in the field of finance and accounting, with focus on account payable, depending on qualifications - Proficient with ERP systems, ideally with NetSuite - Attention to detail and diligence - Deadline-oriented - A good team player - A fluent German speaker WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT At sennder, we want to maximize the individual potential of all employees and reinforce an inclusive culture and environment of continuous learning that empowers people to succeed as a team.
