Strategic Liability Underwriter

**Strategic Liability Underwriter**:
**Your tasks**:

- Underwriting and sales activities in the international commercial liability business of HDI Global SE
- Calculation, negotiation of large and complex risks and programs
- Support and guidance of international branch offices or subsidiaries, including occasional travel abroad
- Understanding and discussing profit and loss statements and local underwriting strategies
- Portfolio steering and claims analysis
- Execute and maintain Underwriting governance, guidelines and technical audits worldwide
- Willingness to engage in the culture transformation of our corporation and territorial markets of responsibility
- Principle works, transfer of knowledge and qualification of employees
- Project collaboration and management

**Your profile**:

- University degree in economics, ideally master of business administration, in insurance or law or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in the commercial insurance sector, preferably in different insurance lines or liability insurance
- Experience in the development and implementation of global and local underwriting strategies, strategic goal setting, operational excellence and risk management initiatives
- Passion and experience in communication, knowledge transfer and change management
- Experience and desire to work on and manage (strategic) projects
- International footprint and intensive work experience abroad and internationally
- Commercial, technical and scientific understanding
- Proven intensive intercultural experience and skills
- Team player, entrepreneurial competence and reliability
- Business fluent in written and spoken English, good knowledge of German
