For our site Diehl Metering in Nuremberg we are looking for a:
**Research Expert in Advanced Development (f/m/d)**:
**Your contribution to our success**:

- You are a research expert in Advanced Development, especially in the field of metering solutions.
- You take over business responsibility of Advanced Development topics in the field of your expertise.
- You contribute to the company’s strategic directions by initiating, synchronizing and managing suitable Advanced Development activities and take their technical lead. In addition, you prepare, ensure and communicate business decisions.
- You define, harmonize and optimize processes in Advanced Development.
- You ensure customer fit of our Advanced Development activities. Building up and maintaining an appropriate internal and external network is a key measure for this.
- You monitor latest developments in technology, competitor activities as well as academic trends in your field of expertise and analyze their impact on the Diehl Metering strategy.
- You initiate and maintain academic and non-academic research partnerships including the acquisition of third-party funding.

**You bring with you**:

- You have successfully completed studies in natural sciences, engineering or similar. A Ph.D. is of benefit.
- You are familiar with academia and have experience in acquiring public funding.
- You have several years of professional experience in the field of R&D on an expert level and have led research collaborations as well as external research partners.
- You have customer-focused mindset, business understanding, and ability to work in an intercultural environment.
- You display a proactive and independent working style.
- You have very good English skills as well as international working experience.
