**Position Summary**

As Construction Director, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of construction strategies to ensure the delivery of significant projects in a safe manner for the protection of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

You will be responsible for integrating the clients’ requirements with German construction supply chain capability in order to develop a safe and achievable construction project. You will be responsible for the design, mobilisation, and management of a Construction Management team to meet the client’s needs.

You will be required to have in depth experience and connections with the German General contractor's supply chain. Previous experience at a senior level with these suppliers will be a distinct advantage.

A key requirement will be the ability to develop construction work practices to improve the overall delivery of the project. Knowledge of Large capital construction practices and interconnects will be key.

This role will work closely with the regional operations directors and managers of construction, setting standards, supporting the development of project execution strategies, supporting the project teams, and acting as a peer reviewer on the projects to identify risks and mitigation strategies.

**Key Responsibilities Responsibilities shall include but not limited to**:

- Support the creation of robust contracts and construction strategy to enable project delivery.
- Develop construction execution strategies to deliver fast track projects (off site construction techniques etc).
- Procurement, Risk assessment and mitigation for German General Contractor and trades
- Ensure commercial and contract management process are robust and deliverable.
- Review and improve existing construction procedures and guidelines.
- Review, develop and implement technology to support the management of construction and safety on projects in conjunction with the clients.
- Develop and implement Lean construction techniques.
- Support clients on the building of safety and construction teams
- Ensure standard reporting processes are in place for key safety and construction KPI’s.

**Education and Experience**
- 20+ years of experience in the Germany construction field (Client or Construction)
- Previous Construction Manager/Director position in GC or Semiconductor Client.
- Experience in executing capital projects more than €400m.
- Experienced with Basebuild, Tool Install, FAB Construction requirements.
- Knowledge of project delivery challenges. Local and Global.
- Experienced in conventional design and construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of alternative delivery methods (design-build, P3, modular etc.).
- Demonstrated background in planning, organizing and execution of multiple projects.
- Demonstrated background as an effective Construction lead.
- Excellent track record of running operations and project delivery.
- Knowledge of local based construction regulations
- Knowledge of local based employment and business requirements
- Proven financial and business modelling acumen.
