**Your duties and responsibilities**:
In addition to your duties and responsibilities as ScO, you will provide supervision of a Bioassays (Sco & TcO) team. In this position you will directly report to the Head of Bioassays. Furthermore, you will be responsible for, e.g.:
- Establish, organize and lead a Bioassays team of scientist and technical assistants
- Ensure the quality of the department’s work, maintenance, and improvement of the GMP standards
- Responsible for laboratory safety, including the creation of standard operating procedures
- Supervise cell-based bioassays in a GMP environment
- Statistical analysis, evaluation and interpretation of analysis results
- Planning and evaluation of process validations
- Ensuring communication within the department as well as between the department and the different departments and groups at the Charles River Erkrath site and globally
- Communicate with domestic and foreign clients
- Support and / or lead optimization projects to improve our processes and implement state of the art technologies
**Your education and experience**:
This position would suit an experienced Scientist who is an excellent team player and motivated to achieve optimum results as a leader of our Bioassay ScO/TcO team. You will also be expected to have:
- University (preferentially doctoral) degree in natural science, e.g. Pharmacy, (Bio-)Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology
- Experience: A minimum of two years as scientist, preferably within a service company in a biotech sector, CMO or CRO
- A minimum of two years as a team lead is preferred
- Knowledge of the quality assurance standards, preferably GMP
- Experience in cell-based bioassays and cell biology
- Good ability to build trustful and open working relationships in all layers of a (matrix) organization
- Very good communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate with various target groups
- High organizational skills in a fast changing environment
