**Job Description**:

- Reporting to the Financial Controller the Accountant is responsible for General ledger & Inventory/COGS accounting & consolidation entries. In this role, the Accountant is further supporting the Financial Controller in ad-hoc projects, internal/external audit tasks & tax compliance.
- Key Responsibilities
- This is role is responsible for General Ledger Accounting to ensure proper R2R disclosure. This includes consolidation entries & regular review of accruals, including maintenance and improvement of the accrual schedule. Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, completed on a monthly basis. This activity ensures the balance sheet and P&L reporting is up to date and accurate & internal reporting requirements are met
- Additionally, there is a strong component of inventory & COGS accounting. Management of Goods Received Not Invoices, monthly reconciliation between GRNI and invoices not posted in current period, preparation of Supplementary Templates aligned with monthly submission
- Intercompany Accounting
- monthly reconciliation of IC balances and group clearing accounts
- Accounting of Fixed Assets, monthly depreciation and amortization
Externally, reports are created and sent to governing agencies including VAT Report, ZM (Recapitulative Statement), Intrastat, Trade Statistics, Grüner Punkt reporting (Discharge Repost), Overview of spending on HCP/HCO to ensure legal and/or regulatory requirements are met with respect to financial reporting.
- Leading of tax audits by providing the data as requested by the auditor and respond to queries during the audit to minimize any tax assessment for the organization.
- Further responsibilities are supporting in internal & external financial statement audit requirements
- Support in Tax compliance & tax payments in close cooperation with the tax advisor and the Financial Controller. Banking & Credit Card maintenance/closure/support, opening of bank accounts, WIRE info maintenance & bank relationships)
- Support in Banking, AP, Cash related (as Back-Up)
- overview the FSSC activities
- Supports the Financial Controller, Corporate Finance in various items
- Support in Ad-Hoc Projects (e.g. SAP Implementation)
- Support in preparation of policies
- Maintenance & Cont. Improvement of the internal control systems
- Support in cont. improvement of Digitalization projects in Accounting
- Strong support in setting-up & maintenance of ERP-system

**Qualifications**:

- Chartered Management Accountant (abschlusssicherer Bilanzbuchhalter), knowledge of HGB is must, knowledge of US GAAP desirable
