Research Scientist (all genders) - Bioinformatics

Full-time and permanent

Key responsibilities:
- Work with scientists in interdisciplinary project teams in multiple research programs- Guide project teams in the design of omics experiments and support the analysis and interpretation of omics data and communicate results to stakeholders- Develop and maintain methods, software tools, and workflows for omics data analysis

Your ideal qualifications:
- PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or a related natural science discipline- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the analysis of next generation sequencing data.- Proficient in the analysis of genomics data using short/long read sequencing, e.g. WGS/WES, CRISPR editing datasets, cohort-based variant association analysis.- Proficient in working with bioinformatics tools and understanding of common bioinformatics algorithms and workflows.-
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment, to contribute to the progress of your projects.- Willingness to learn required skills to adapt to internal working guidelines. Professional language skills in English - both written and spoken
- Additional qualification:
- Knowledgeable in software development methodologies (version control, testing, documentation) is a plus-
- Knowledgeable in bio/statistics is a plus-
- Knowledgeable in the analysis of transcriptomics bulk/scRNA datasets is a plus-
- Knowledge of population genetics and the genetics of complex diseases is a plus- Our offer:
