Your Role

Our Engineering Team is structured in tribes & squads, each of which has a focus topic. As the Director of Engineering for the Integrations Squad you will lead the engineering team managing tech-integrations for arive. In this role you will take an essential role in building arive’s tech-tool-landscape to achieve a scalable and efficient setup for long-term growth. You will work alongside with other directors and the 3rd party integration partner’s team to facilitate the internal projects

Your Responsibilities
- Hire, Lead and nurture the engineering team of around 15-25 people consisting of Engineering Managers, Developers (internal or external) & QA Leads to ensure timely and high quality delivery
- Take ownership for the integration of new tools and partners. Support the requests coming from arive’s business team.
- You will define the fastest, most scalable and most stable solution and take your team along that path to build future leaders who are passionate about helping arive succeed
- Work closely with the CTO and VP Engineering to align on the Engineering KPIs of your team.
- Provide proper documentation of the requirements, the architecture and the design of our software architecture
- Along our company values you will conduct valuable and timely feedback to your team, as well as conduct regular performance reviews
- Promote and build a spirit of ownership, collaboration, accountability and responsibility within your team
- Last, but not least you will lead by example and help your team to take up ownership and grow as an engineer

Your Profile
- At Least 8 years of experience in software development or the relevant field.
- Leadership: At Least 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles. Teams trust you and feel valued, they can develop and would recommend their workplace.
- You have experience with integrating, developing and enhancing ERP systems, Payment providers or complex logistics-tools.
- You are fluent in the following tech stack: Node, TS, MongoDB, React Native, Devops, QA & Automation.
- You have experience in integrations most of the 3rd party softwares like payments, ERP etc.
- PM Skills: You have experience in managing projects clearly and in a fast manner. Even with involvement of various departments
- Entrepreneurial: You think end to end, and solution driven. You don’t have a problem with writing code yourself from time to time
