_Translational Neurosciences_ department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Principal Scientist (f/m/d)

Neurosciences Drug Discovery

Full-time and permanent

to join an interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists, stem cell biologists, data scientists and chemists in collaborative projects in the field of drug development.

Your key responsibilities:

- Collaborate efficiently in a team-oriented manner with other departments, disciplines, and partner organizations
- Engage and convince collaborators, managers, and steering bodies with your presentations on project progress, proposed decisions, and next steps
- Prepare scientific proposals and provide reliable cost and time estimates for lead generation projects
- Lead a small team of technical staff; direct and co-ordinate their work towards challenging timelines, while assuring delivery of reliable data

Your ideal qualifications:

- Ph.D. with several years of drug discovery experience in Pharma or Biotech
- Familiar with the lead generation process and the use of high throughput platforms in this context
- Proven track record in project management for H2L and LO projects
- Strong experience in Neuroscience’s research area
- Goal-oriented, curiosity-driven, with a passion for innovation and science
- Interest in working in teams of diverse scientific and cultural background and to guide and encourage less experienced colleagues
- Excellent command of the English language; German advantageous
