Surface Technologist

Company HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH Summary For the "Production Technology" department, we are looking for a "Surface Technologist / Chemical Expert (f/m/d)" to strengthen our Production Technology team for mechanical components at the Ulm site as soon as possible. The "Production Technology Mechanics" team is responsible for the main tasks: Development and optimization of manufacturing processes in the "Mechanical Components" department and at suppliers, support of investment projects, process qualifications and provision of process standards. Your Tasks- Support of surface finishing processes for metallic components (mainly Al alloys and steels) such as: Pretreatment processes including degreasing, pickling and plasma cleaning, passivation and metallic coatings (chemical and electroplating), plasma coatings (ceramic and metallic coatings) and painting (spraying, powder coating and dipping)- Development and qualification of manufacturing processes and provision of process instructions- Consulting of different contact persons from development, technology and production on chemical and material technical issues- Support of purchasing in supplier management / supplier development- Collaboration in the REACH "Impact Evaluation Group" in the analysis, evaluation of regulated substances (e.g. REACH-SVHC / RoHS / Biocidal active ingredients) in HENSOLDT products- Development of proposals for risk and obsolescence management for regulated and restricted substances respectively- Research of substance compositions and preparation of corresponding reports in appropriate database systems Willingness for international business trips / supplier visits is required.
