The Fraunhofer Institute, a leading applied research organization in Germany, is pleased to offer an exciting Master Thesis position at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) in Kaiserslautern (DE), Department of Financial Mathematics. Our department is well-known for its expertise in mathematical modeling, optimization, and risk management in the insurance and banking sectors. We specialize in developing advanced algorithms and simulation-based solutions to address critical challenges in the financial industry.

**What you will do**

**What you bring to the table**
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mathematics, computer science, finance, economics, or a related field
- Knowledge of experience with Control Theory/ Reinforcement Learning or Deep Reinforcement Learning
- Proficiency in programming language - Python for data analysis and algorithm implementation
- Stochastic Calculus
- Basic understanding of numerical programming
- Interest in capital market and trading Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English**What you can expect**
