As the Director of Engineering you will be leading a growing engineering team of nearly 40 engineering professionals and partnering closely with Product leadership to provide business critical services that support our customers' ordering process.

**Your mission**:

- Lead, support and mentor Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to be more effective leaders.
- Suggest and implement system design and architectural best practices for a high load system where accuracy is key
- Lead the technical area of responsibility in close collaboration with the business stakeholders
- Drive both quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing the OKRs.
- Champion engineering best practices, be a pragmatic voice showing where to invest engineering effort where it can best move the needle.

**Your heroic skills**:

- An engineering background, being able to evaluate complex technical decisions and identify potential technical problems and suggest solutions.
- Experience with managing managers and multiple teams simultaneously.
- Being able to adapt to change and find pragmatic solutions.

**Nice to have**:

- A mindset compatible with continuous deployment, agile planning, cloud-based systems, experimentation and testing.
- Passion for shaping the engineering culture of a growing team.
