**For our office in Cologne we are looking for a**:
**Specialist Statutory Reporting (f/m/d)**:
Alpha Trains has owned and leased locomotives and passenger trains for nearly 24 years. More than 140 employees of various nationalities are active across Europe. Our more than 1,000 locomotives and passenger trains are utilized in 22 European countries.

**WHAT WOULD KEEP YOU BUSY**:

- Creation of single-entity financial statements for SPVs
- Support the creation of other single-entity and consolidated financial statements
- Support the creation of half-year accounts and the calculation of bank covenants as part of external finance requirements
- Collaboration on accounting treatment according to IFRS / local GAAPs
- Participation in international projects (new software, accounting treatments, M&A, new build, etc.)
- Supporting the tax department for topics/treatments that are also tax-related
- Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure data integrity within the financial statements
- Contact for the auditor
- Contact for service providers
- Quality control for financial statements (half-year and year-end)
- Continuous optimization of processes
- Collaboration in developing a group-wide accounting policy
- Monitor and implement new requirements under ESG/CSRD with regards to the consolidated financial statements
- Key user for Microsoft Dynamics D365

**WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM**:
The best qualifications for this position are:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years’ professional experience in group accounting/consolidation or audit
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and group accounting
- Knowledge of Luxembourgish and German accounting principles are of advantage
- Project work experience
- knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word
- Preferably experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Microsoft Power BI
- General affinity for IT
- Fluent in German and English
- High ability to work in a team
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Open-minded, responsible, independent, enthusiastic, highly reliable and motivated
- High willingness and ability to learn
